New Students
All new students will be evaluated for readiness. The school may request academic testing of any student applying to SGA.
The materials you will need to apply to San Gabriel Academyare listed below. Applications will not be reviewed for acceptance until all information is submitted (immunizations, birth certificate, etc.). Applications for the next school year will be reviewed for admission on or after April 5, 2010 and will be processed up until the 14th of August. Please be sure the following forms are filled in completely and the documents are included when turning in your application packet:
- Application
- Financial Agreement
- Copy of Birth Certificate (all new students)
- Copy of Immunization Records (all new students)
- Student Physical Form (Grades K-1, 4, 7, 10, and all new students). This must be completed by August 1, 2010
- Emergency Information and Authorization Form
- Request for Student Records
- $300 Registration Fee for new students
- $25 Application Fee
- $25 Testing Fee
Once an application is received, you will be contacted to schedule a readiness evaluation. Our Admissions Committee reviews all new applicants. Returning students are given first priority in acceptance. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school office.
Returning Students
For students entering grades K-8, there are two steps to registration: academic and financial. Students entering grades 9-12 have a third step, class assignment. The following documents must be filled out completely and returned to SGA for registration:
Please be sure the forms are filled in completely. Incomplete registration items will NOT be processed. The financial registration information must be returned to the Business Office before your registration is complete.
International Students
Thank you for your interest in San Gabriel Academy. SGA welcomes international students who have basic English abilities and the desire to integrate into an English speaking classroom.
SGA is a private, K-12 School. It was established in 1959 and the motto is Educating for Eternity. SGA’s mission is to provide a value-centered Christian education in an environment of academic excellence. San Gabriel Academy follows the Adventist church policies and procedures and has no tolerance for smoking or drinking alcohol on or off campus.
To complete the international application to San Gabriel Academy, the following are needed:
Upon receipt and review of these documents by the Admissions Committee, and I-20 form will be issued to the sponsor in the United States who will then send it on to the student’s parents. Once the I-20 has been completed, parents will present the form to the nearest U.S. Consulate to obtain the F-1 visa. You must also prove to the consulate that you have the financial resources required for your education and stay in the United States.
