Bus will leave SGA at 2:15 p.m.

Students and parents are welcome to ride the bus.

The cost is $5 per person. The bus will stop at a place to eat before going to the game. Students & parents must sign up in the SGA front office with Mrs. Royo by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 11/4/26.

The bus will return to SGA between 9:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

CIFSS Commissioner Mike West stopped by SGA today to present Coach Derek Duran with the NFHS CA Coach of the Year Award for Boys Volleyball. The commissioner highlighted a few of Coach Derek’s accomplishments: over 15 league championships, three CIF championships, and two Coach of the Year honors! West also emphasized Coach Derek’s legacy in “developing young people of character,” instilling “the values of leadership, accountability, discipline, and respect” to every member of his teams. The Eagles fought through four quarters plus a double overtime to defeat Centennial High 63-62. Sophia Acevedo scored 20 points by halftime. With both Ella Fisher and Sophia Acevedo both fouled out halfway through the fourth quarter, their teammates stepped up in a big way. Tyler White, who ended the night with 20 points, made several clutch baskets to secure the win: a layup at the buzzer to send the game to OT, two free throws to get us to double OT, and the game-winner. Sophie Eslava displayed her ball-handling skills. Clarissa Sinaga had a breakout game and a career-high 10 points, which included two 3-pointers. This was not only a big win for our Eagles but also a true testament to our players’ grit, determination, and hard work. We’re looking forward to a great season ahead! Season opener for the Eagles ends with a strong 12–0 win over Glendale Adventist. Gabriel Barrales led the way with four goals, and Javier Lemus added a hat-trick. Captain Michael Hernandez scored two goals, including a top-corner strike from 25 yards out. Noah Choi added two in his high school debut. Freshman Noah earned Man of the Match for being a strong target man being dangerous throughout the attack. Great team effort and a great start to the season! STANDARDS-BASED LEARNING

At San Gabriel Academy (SGA), we believe that the highest kind of education aligns with our Christ-centered philosophy and should seek to unfold God's plan for our students’ lives.
